BIRTHDAY DINNER!

July 18th was my birthday and also the night we celebrated by having dinner with family. In all the celebration I ended up only getting one picture of myself and my outfit. I had a really nice time and am so grateful to have been with some family.

Beauty Faves: 7.7.15

With beauty products almost everyone is going to have their "go-to" products, the products that you reach for whenever in doubt because they have never done you wrong. However, you can't find your "go-to" without trying some new things! Over the last two months I made it my mission to try some products that I have never used before.

Of course, when trying new things there are going to be some misses as well as hits! The following products are just some items that I fell in love with over the course of these past two months and would most definitely continue using and repurchase!

SKINCARE:

This product is definitely pricey! I think with skin care it's okay to push the budget a little as you only get one face so you might as well take care of it! I wouldn't recommend something this pricey if I hadn't been seeing results. I have some discoloration on my face from sunspots and old acne scars and after only using this for a month they are already fading! It's honestly such a miracle. However, you can probably find similar, just as good, products for much cheaper at Ulta or Sephora!

FACE MAKEUP:

This primer is incredible and also INCREDIBLY CHEAP! It is comparable to the Benefit's Porefessional which I did love but won't repurchase because this one works literally just as well.

I've recently gotten a bit tanner than usual so I needed a new foundation for whilst I'm tan! I am a huge fan of drugstore foundation normally and this was no different. It's not too matte and has a build-able coverage!

This is a must have. It's cooling for baggy, tired eyes and the concealer is very brightening. I adore this.

This is one of those holy grail face products. I have been using this pretty much daily this summer! It provides that perfect bronzed look and the highlight is stunning!

EYE MAKEUP:

An every day natural palette! I've hit pan on quite a few of the shades in this palette i love it.

I got this one a few weeks ago and I'm loving it! A lighter palette with more shimmery shades.

This mascara is phenomenal. I never wear falsies but with this mascara I really don't need to. So beautiful! It doesn't clump at all and gives so much length and volume.

And that is all for my beauty favorites for the past couple months!

Outdoor Heat

This summer in Florida has been especially hot! I was going to Disney World with some friends where we would be walking and it was 95 degrees out. I wanted to wear something that was breezy and comfortable while still cute. I decided to pair this sheer tank with a lace bralette, some cuffed shorts and my favorite converse!

Favorite Shop - Forever 21

As a lover of clothes I tend to shop at a variety of different shops, in-store and online. However, being a student with a part-time job I tend to gravitate towards stores like H&M and Forever 21 while incorporating pieces from pricier shop! Recently though I've been shopping almost entirely at Forever 21 so I thought I'd show a few looks composed entirely of items from there!

Hopefully this helps you find things that are nice to wear and nice to your wallet!

Anxiety & Panic Attacks - UPDATE

A while back I made a post about my anxiety and how bad it had gotten. Thankfully since then it had been a lot better. However, recently that has not been the case.

For about three or four months now my anxiety has been getting progressively worse. During the past few weeks there have even been days where I can't seem to go five minutes without feeling anxious. Every little thing seems to be making me anxious and it has become such a hindrance on my life.

My anxiety is triggered by many things but primarily by not being able to get in touch with loved ones, specifically, my parents. This isn't me getting anxious because I don't hear from them for a few hours/days, it's minutes! If I send a text or call either of them and they either don't answer or take longer than ten minutes to respond I get so anxious it often leads to a severe panic attack. It doesn't matter how much a try to rationalize it, the panic is almost inevitable.

Along with this, my anxiety is preventing me from doing a lot. It prevents me from making necessary phone calls - even the one i need to(and still have yet to make) to my doctor so that I can discuss what measures to take for my anxiety as far as therapy and medication go. It also prevents me from going to class occasionally. This is especially frustrating because although I'm not a massive fan of the subject matter(math - yuck!) I do love the class. The professor and the fellow students make a subject I hate really enjoyable!

That being said, I hope to make some changes within the next month that help me with this.

- I'm going to go back to therapy. I actually love therapy. It helps being able to talk to an outside party with a more knowledgeable understanding about anxiety and what's going on in my head.

- I will most likely being taking a mild anti-anxiety medication to take the edge off. I am typically very wary of any sort of medication because I don't want to become dependent on it. However, it has become very apparent to me that it is necessary for the time being.

- I am going to get back to exercising regularly. The endorphins will help lift my mood and I'll be getting back into better shape!

I'm excited to get started on these things so that I can improve my outlook on life and move on from this anxious period. I know they come and go and even once it has passed it will most likely be back. But, if I can get to a place where I am able to manage and predict it life will be so much better for myself. I've been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for as long as I can remember I just have to find better ways to manage it.

What's In My Bag?

I got a new bag recently thanks to my parents so I decided to do a little "What's in my bag?" post!

The bag I have is a Coach Prairie Satchel Bag. I absolutely adore it. I have been really into gold hardware recently so the chain on this bag is my absolute favorite thing.

As for inside of my bag I only have a few things at the moment. I'm used to a much smaller bag and I only just transfered what I had in there to my new bag.

So, of course I have my wallet(Michael Kors), my keys and my phone in there. Along with those essentials I have some hand cream, a hand sanitzer and a lip balm(all from Bath & Body Works). I also like to carry a miniature lint roller for emergency lint removal - with cats as pets this is a necessity for me - and a few chocolates just in case I get peckish!

Obviously this purse can hold quite a bit more but these are just the essential items for my bag. I usually drop in whatever concealer and lip stick I'm wearing for the day as well.

ALBUM REVIEW: Taylor Swift's '1989'

I have always been a fan of Taylor Swift's music. However, never has she made an album that I am completely, one hundred percent in love with...until now.

Each of her albums has the standout tracks that everyone loves and a few that are so-so. With 1989 Swift has almost eliminated any less than amazing tracks. There are only two tracks that I would describe as "mediocre" or "so-so" and those are Shake It Off, her lead single, and Welcome To New York, the albums first track.

Other than the aforementioned tracks, this album is a spectacular listen from start to finish - including bonus tracks!

1. Welcome To New York: Musically, this track is a great into! Lyrically, it falls a little short. A bit boring.

"The lights are so bright but they never blind me"

2. Blank Space: This song is such a stand out from the album and it makes sense that she chose it as her next single. A true pop track with lyrics that poke fun at the rumors surrounding her person, this song is fun from start to finish.

"Cause darling, i'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream"

3. Style: This track is definitely memorable. The verses are haunting and paired with such a catchy chorus it's hard not to love! Swift also does something rare in this song by pointing out that she can't blame the person she's singing about as she's been there too.

"You've got that James Dean, daydream, look in your eyes"

4. Out Of The Woods: This song is easily one of the best on the album. Despite the repetitive chorus, OOTW is full of amazing lyrics that really provide a visual for the listener.

"The monsters turned out to be just trees"

5. All You Had To Do Was Stay: The chorus is what makes this song. You either love it or you hate it but you have to commend her for trying something different!

"People like me are gone forever when you say goodbye"

6. Shake It Off: terrible.

"Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate"

7. I Wish You Would: A face paced song about regret and wanting. It's beautiful and fun. A really great drive song!

"I wish you knew that I miss you too much to be mad anymore"

8. Bad Blood: This song is a catchy and fun way of calling someone out. Such a fun way to blow off steam and a great running song!

"Now we've got problems, and I don't think we can solve 'em"

9: Wildest Dreams: This song is very Lana Del Rey-esque. Super whimsical and beautiful. The lyrics are amazingly visual.

"His hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room"

10: How You Get The Girl: Such a fun and catchy song. Everything about this song makes you feel good. This song is perfect for dancing around your room!

"I want you for worse of for better, I would wait for ever and ever"

11: This Love: One of the only slow songs on the album. It took a while to get into but now I absolutely adore it.

"This love is alive back from the dead"

12: I Know Places: A haunting track with darker lyrics. A more mature "Haunted".

"They are are the hunters we are the foxes, and we run"

13: Clean: This song is absolutely stunning. It's self deprecating while at the same time empowering. Gorgeous and visual lyrics.

"Just because you're clean doesn't mean you don't miss it"

STYLE SPOTLIGHT - Holland Roden

This month I'm starting something that I hope to update every couple months.
My style has always been inspired by a number of things; music, television, and of course celebrity style. Typically it varies and changes quite often but over the past few months a particular celeb's style has really stood out to me and that is MTV Teen Wolf's Holland Roden

Now, I wasn't always a huge fan of Holland's style. For a while she was into tighter fitting skirts and flowing blouses but even with those two stand-outs her style was kind of all over the place. Recently however, she's definitely come into her own style and is looking more comfortable in her own skin and that is definitely helping! Her style has become so much of an inspiration for me that I've even purchased some of her exact outfits!

Here are a few of my favorite recent style moments from Holland!

ATLANTA - EYECON CONVENTION

This past weekend one of my very best friends and I headed to Atlanta, Georgia for Eyecon Convention. This particular Eyecon Convention was centered around one of my very favorite television shows MTV's Teen Wolf. While we were there we were able to walk around the city, meet some of the Teen Wolf cast and make new friends! It was by far one of the best weekends I've ever had and I'm so sad it's over! But, I have so many great pictures from the trip to relive it through!
