ALBUM REVIEW: Taylor Swift's '1989'

I have always been a fan of Taylor Swift's music. However, never has she made an album that I am completely, one hundred percent in love with...until now.

Each of her albums has the standout tracks that everyone loves and a few that are so-so. With 1989 Swift has almost eliminated any less than amazing tracks. There are only two tracks that I would describe as "mediocre" or "so-so" and those are Shake It Off, her lead single, and Welcome To New York, the albums first track.

Other than the aforementioned tracks, this album is a spectacular listen from start to finish - including bonus tracks!

1. Welcome To New York: Musically, this track is a great into! Lyrically, it falls a little short. A bit boring.

"The lights are so bright but they never blind me"

2. Blank Space: This song is such a stand out from the album and it makes sense that she chose it as her next single. A true pop track with lyrics that poke fun at the rumors surrounding her person, this song is fun from start to finish.

"Cause darling, i'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream"

3. Style: This track is definitely memorable. The verses are haunting and paired with such a catchy chorus it's hard not to love! Swift also does something rare in this song by pointing out that she can't blame the person she's singing about as she's been there too.

"You've got that James Dean, daydream, look in your eyes"

4. Out Of The Woods: This song is easily one of the best on the album. Despite the repetitive chorus, OOTW is full of amazing lyrics that really provide a visual for the listener.

"The monsters turned out to be just trees"

5. All You Had To Do Was Stay: The chorus is what makes this song. You either love it or you hate it but you have to commend her for trying something different!

"People like me are gone forever when you say goodbye"

6. Shake It Off: terrible.

"Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate"

7. I Wish You Would: A face paced song about regret and wanting. It's beautiful and fun. A really great drive song!

"I wish you knew that I miss you too much to be mad anymore"

8. Bad Blood: This song is a catchy and fun way of calling someone out. Such a fun way to blow off steam and a great running song!

"Now we've got problems, and I don't think we can solve 'em"

9: Wildest Dreams: This song is very Lana Del Rey-esque. Super whimsical and beautiful. The lyrics are amazingly visual.

"His hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room"

10: How You Get The Girl: Such a fun and catchy song. Everything about this song makes you feel good. This song is perfect for dancing around your room!

"I want you for worse of for better, I would wait for ever and ever"

11: This Love: One of the only slow songs on the album. It took a while to get into but now I absolutely adore it.

"This love is alive back from the dead"

12: I Know Places: A haunting track with darker lyrics. A more mature "Haunted".

"They are are the hunters we are the foxes, and we run"

13: Clean: This song is absolutely stunning. It's self deprecating while at the same time empowering. Gorgeous and visual lyrics.

"Just because you're clean doesn't mean you don't miss it"

September Favorites!

Now that September is over I've decided to recap on a few of my favorite things during the month! Each month of the year brings exciting new things, but I've narrowed it down to a select few from this past month.

you can find links to these items here

1. Diet Dr. Pepper. Unfortunately I am the kind of person who has a tough time drinking water. I find it boring. However, I started drinking Diet Dr. Pepper. While this isn't necessarily "healthy" it is nice to have a can with your lunch.

2. Low-top Converse in black. I had never really worn converse very much before this month but lately I've been wearing them almost religiously! They're so comfortable and can work with almost any outfit whether you're keeping casual or want to dress down something a bit fancier.

3. Ariana Grande and The 1975. These two artists are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum! I've been loving both of them so much this month. Fantastic albums.

4. Dungarees and Playsuits. I'v been loving both of these clothing items this month. Dungarees can be so cute and casual and playsuits can be dressed up so fancily. Both items are so comfortable and easy! Love it!

5. Maybelline FITme Foundation stick and Essie's Play Date. I'm not usually a fan of cream/stick foundations but this one works SO WELL. It's completely matte and keeps your face from looking shiny which i desperately need. As for nails, Essie's 'Play Date' is so sweet and girly. I've been loving it!

6. Chunky Gold Necklaces. These are such a statement piece and can be added to almost any outfit from tee's to blouses! They're so versatile and I absolutely love mine!

What are your September favorites? Let me know HERE!
